A couple to share!

Hi All

Hope everyone is having a great weekend?  Yesterday was my monthly crop at Northside.  I was very unorganised this month and seem to have struggled in the last couple of weeks with getting any creative juices flowing.  Had better find it again before I have a full weekend of scrapping in Dalwallinu next month!

Anyhow created two layouts.  The first is of my niece Maddie and her girlfriends.  I have used Pink Paislee Hometown Summer paper and cut it out using my Cricut machine, Crate Paper Emma's Shoppe collection papers, word and alpha stickers, Girls Paperie embellishments, Kaisercraft flower, rub ons and rhinestones, Pink paislee butterfly and Prima Annalee Collection Chip Journalling sticker.
The second is from my trip to Arlington Cemetery, Washington DC back in August 2010.  Have used October Afternoon Rocket Age Papers and stickers, Adorn It mini alpha's and the title is cut from my Cricut machine.  The border is actually even it has just not photographed that way!
Today it has become clear just how bad a day it was.  My diecut on the first layout was stuck down crooked so I have had to lift that and try and fix it and then after I had photographed my layout on Arlington I realised I had spelt the word "cemetery" wrong so had to print another letter and fix that up.  Some days you should just give up!  Well that's all for now.  Have a great week!

Imaginisce I Spy Toot

Sorry I didn't think I would be blogging again today as I didn't get creative while the footy was on but I have just checked my emails before going to bed and someone has emailed me and told me that my layout I posted earlier today was Spotted by Imaginisce and posted on their blog.
If you can't tell already, I am VERY excited.  Especially considering I wasn't happy with the layout!  Glad there was a plug for Handmade By Suzanne too.

Good Night.

HBS June Sketch

Hi Bloggers

Hope you are all having a great weekend? I have had a cold this week so been laying low this weekend.  Yesterday I scrapped a couple of layouts.  The first layout is for the June sketch challenge at Handmade By Suzanne.  I have used some old Imaginisce Bday Bash papers and embellies, glimmermist, Jenni Bowlin tag, AC Thickers, Echo Park sticker, Kaisercraft mini alpha's and DMC thread.  Also used my new WRMK Sew Easy Stitch Piercer - sooo much easier than measuring holes and piercing them yourself.  The photo's of Mitchell's 9th birthday dinner back in 2005.  It has not photographed very well and I am not overly happy with the end result but the photo's are scrapped.

This is the June Sketch so if you are a scrapper why not have a go and get into the random draw to win a store voucher at Handmade By Suzanne.
This layout is of Liam and Lachlan reading story books.  (Well Liam is!)  I have used Crate Paper Toy Box Collection papers and Chip embellishments.
Well that's all for now.  Got some chores to do today and hopefully will get the time to scrap again while the footy is on this afternoon.  Next Saturday is my monthly crop at NSC so need to get organised for that.  Enjoy the rest of the weekend and have a great week!

Sneak Peek Revealed

Hi All

A couple of weeks ago I gave a sneak peek of a double layout I did at a class with the lovely and very talented Treesa Young.  Yesterday I received in the mail the little bits and pieces we needed to finish the layout, so here is the finished product.
We have used the lovely Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden papers and embellishments.
Some of the techniques we learnt were Air Brushing, using Glimmer Glam, Patchworking, Rolled Flowers and using different textures on your layouts.
Treesa used Sepia photo's on her layout which looked fabulous.

Thanks again for popping by and for the lovely comments that you leave.

Weekend Crop

Hello Lovely Blog Followers

Well it is the end of our long weekend.  It has been a fun scrappy weekend but with not much achieved by me.  Thanks to Liz, Glenda, Desma and Mum for a great day on Sunday.  Well these are the few layouts I did.  This gorgeous photo is of Mitch and Tess.  I have used Bo Bunny Timepiece patterned papers, Heidi Swapp clock stamp, Spellbinders die cuts, Rosette & banner die cut, Tim Holtz distress inks and crackle accents, MS butterfly punch, RW Lasercuts chip heading, Kaisercraft rub ons, Pink Paislee Journalling spots, mini flowers and buttons.
This is a close up of my cluster.  Thanks S for all the tips and techniques today and for the yummy lunch. x
These photo's Maddie and her friend Giorgi took.  They look just gorgeous.  Have used some old Bella Blvd Plastino patterned papers, glimmermist, Pink Paislee flowers and Alpha's and Kaisercraft Rhinestones.
This layout is of Maddie's 12th birthday.  Have used the beautiful Jillibean Soup Spotted Owl Soup patterned papers and embellishments,  MS border punch, TH inks and AC Thickers.  I have machine stitched the border on.  Love the bright colours of this range.  It looks better in real life!
That's all I achieved this weekend but have got my inspiration back so hopefully some more to share soon.  Hope everyone in the West had a great long weekend and I think those in the East have one this weekend coming so enjoy!  Until next time "Happy Scrapping" and have a fantastic week.

Crocodile Park

Hi Bloggers

Sorry it has been so long since my last post but life has been a bit hectic.  I had a bit of time to scrap on Saturday night but I just couldn't get motivated.  Last night I created this layout of my Nephews on holidays in Broome last year.  I've pulled this photo out many times but wasn't quite sure what to do with it.  Well this is what I have come up with.  Have used AC kraft and stamped it with TH distress inks and Kaiser stamps, Glimmermist, BG Origins patterned paper and fabric flowers, Dusty Attic chicken wire chip, MS fong punch, Scrap FX branch, crackle accents, fabric, jillibean soup corrugated alpha's and BG mini alpha's.  Once photographed I noticed some of my title was crooked so I've fixed that up.
We have a long weekend (yippee) coming up this weekend and some of us are getting together for a scrap on Sunday so will hopefully have a productive day with layouts to share.  Sorry to all those people who have checked in over the past week and there has been no updates.  Enjoy the rest of the week and for those in Perth enjoy the long weekend and the beautiful rain we are getting at last!!!

Happy Scrapping!!!

Mini Album - Jul's 50th

Hi All

Well I have been working every night since last Monday night and all weekend on this mini album for my girlfriends 50th birthday today.  She has all that money can buy so someone suggested this would be a good idea.  Mmmm never again!  This is the cover of the book made using Websters Papers, Prima flowers and butterfly, Pink Paislee Alpha's, Kaiser wooden frame, pearls, glimmermist and handmade rosettes.   I won't detail all that I have used.  I have left some pages for photo's to be added.

Thanks to Suzanne who made this beautiful embellishment for me at the crop to add.  Really appreciate all your advice too S. x
Left this page to slip a photo of her children under the flap of the envelope.

Will take a photo of Jul's today to go on this page and then the date tag can be slipped behind the photo.  She can write a few things on the tag about the day.  I have put a few blank tags in the album so she can write her own story.
Thanks for lasting until the end.    You should have seen my scrap room at the end of this project last night.  Aaagh!  Have a great week.

Sneak Peek!

Happy Sunday All,

Mum often tells me she checks my blog and there are no updates for a week so I thought I had better post something to show I have scrapped.  I went to a class on Friday night with the lovely and very talented Treesa Young at Made with Memories and this sneak peak is of a double layout we learnt.  I didn't get to finish it on the night as there were lots of different elements to complete so worked on it yesterday morning.  It is only a sneak peek as the layout can't be completed due to some embellishments being out of stock so I am waiting for them to be mailed to me for the finishing touches.
We used the gorgeous Prima Butterfly Garden patterned papers and co-ordinations cardstock.  Some of the techniques were sanding, inking, dry brushing, patchworking, made rosette flowers and glimmer glazed them.  Thanks Treesa - LOVE your work and love being able to attend your classes.
Whilst on Prima Butterfly Garden here is the Mothers Day card I made for Mum.  Love these papers.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.  Sorry there is not much to share.  I went out for lunch yesterday with friends that lasted all afternoon and today Mum and I are heading off to the footy.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend.  Take Care.

May Sketch at HBS

Hi there blog followers

Quick post this morning as I have a very busy weekend, so sadly not much time for scrapping.  Got errands to run this morning, I have to get my haircut, meetig friends for lunch and then off to Mum's for dinner as Liz and the kids are coming up.  Tomorrow is going to be 28 degrees so we are all getting together for Mothers Day with a picnic in the park.

Last night I created this layout for this months sketch challenge at Handmade by Suzanne.  These are some old photo's of our family together with our relatives visiting from Adelaide.  I can't remember when it was or where we were going so I will have to add that in when I find out.  I have left the panel on the bottom free for that info.  Have used Bo Bunny Gabrielle patterned papers, Kaisercraft stamp, Tim Holtz stamp, collections butterfly, BG mini alpha's and AC thickers.

Have attached the sketch so why not head over to Handmade by Suzanne and have a go.  It is a random draw and you could win a voucher to spend in store - a prize we all love!  Also while you are there check out the page Kim Jeffress did on massive events in the world that have occurred in her lifetime.  It is fabulous!

Happy Mothers Day to all you Mum's out there, hope you have a fantastic day with your families.

Until next time take care.

Don't Ask!

Hi there,
With not much on TV last night I created this layout using some more bits and pieces from the October Afternoon 5 & Dime range of papers and embellies.  The photo's are quite light to start with so not really that easy to tell what the story is about.  Liz, and Mitch have drawn on moustaches and Maddie has drawn on glasses.  Mmmm What they are up to - who knows!!
Oh well need to get on to my Mothers Day Card.

See you soon.

5 & Dime Layout

Hi All

Hope you have all had a great weekend.  The weather in Perth has been so beautiful.  Let's hope it is the same next weekend for Mothers Day.  Went into Freo today for lunch with friends.

Have found it hard to find inspiration this weekend so have only created the one layout.  This is a photo of Gavin and the kids taken on Fathers Day 2006 at Mum and Dad's house.  Have used October Afternoon 5 & Dime patterned papers and stickers, AC Thickers, Stitching, playing card and ink.
Until next time have a fantastic week.

Another Toot!

Didn't expect to be blogging today but just had a look on Two Peas while having my lunch and was surprised to see two of my layouts featured in the Top 3.  Thanks to all those people who like my layouts enough to get them rated in the Top 3.  When I see the talented ladies who post on Two Peas I am very humbled.  Hope I don't come across as bragging but as a new blogger and new to posting on Two Peas I am thrilled and excited.

Back at work today and being end of month it is busy busy busy.  Hope you all enjoy the balance of what is going to be a very short working week.  We have some rain in Perth today which is so fantastic!

Layouts to Share

Hi All,

Went to work this morning to pay the staff and couldn't believe that my 5 day break is nearly over and that it is the end of another month!  Wasn't Christmas just the other day???

Oh well it has been a productive 5 days so that's been great.  These are my layouts from yesterday.

This is of my brother Brenton having fun on Cable Beach, Broome with his family.  Have used AC Kraft, October Afternoon Seaside patterned papers and stickers, MS punch, bottlecaps and Pink Paislee chip alphas.
This layout I loved so much I had to scraplift it from Tanya Tahir.  It was a great way to use up the balance of the October Afternoon stickers.
This is the latest school photo of Liam.  He is now in Year 2.  Don't you just love those toothless school photo's at this age!   But that big front tooth is coming through.  Have used Kaisercraft Class of '87 patterned papers, printed chip and die cut elements.  The alpha's are Sassafras chip and October Afternoon mini alpha's.  The banner is from http://www.greatestview.etsy.com/.
And lastly this layout is of Maddie and her 4 gorgeous girlfriends.  They have so much fun together.    Have used Crate Paper Emma's Shoppe patterned papers and chipboard elements, Pink Paislee banner, Scenic Route rub on words, Basic Grey micro mini alpha's and doile from Little Red Rocket.
I am happy with how productive my day was.  All products used are available at Handmade by Suzanne.  Thanks to my lovely friend for spending the day scrapping with me and keeping me inspired with new ideas.

I hope you all had a happy and safe Easter.  Thanks for stopping by my blog and to my friends who leave me such sweet comments - I love hearing from you!  A big welcome to my new follower, I was very excited to see you appear.

Enjoy the remainder of the week!

Found Time to Scrap!

Happy Easter All,

Hope you are all having a fantastic extra long Easter break!  Had lunch at Mum and Dad's on Good Friday with my brother and his family and yesterday I took the time to do all my chores so I had 3 days to myself.  Glad I decided not to go away I am loving having all this time to myself.  I have finally cleaned out the Tupperware cupboard and filed all my recipes away in the file I bought at Christmas time 2009.  It is amazing what you get done when there is hardly any footy on.

Last night I completed these couple of layouts while watching the footy. This layout is of Maddie's 7th birthday.  I had actually scrapped them years ago but decided to redo the layout.  My scrapping has certainly changed from the Creative Memories days.  Still struggling with the white balance whilst photographing the layouts.  The background is clean white cardstock.  Have used Cosmo Cricket DeLovely patterned papers and chipboard stickers, Making Memories Diecut, Ribbon, Bottlecaps, Ink, DMC thread, Kaisercraft rub ons and AC Thickers.
Liz has gone away to Augusta for the holidays with the in-laws so she sent me up her box of photo's to go through.  Copied this great photo of Liz and her girlfriends sharing a "Champers" down on the beach.   Decided to convert it to black and white and use Cosmo Cricket circa 1934 patterned papers (again).  Also used a Pink Paislee artisan element, Prima butterfly and part of packaging, AC Thickers, AC premium ribbon, Jenni Bowlin mini alpha's, stitching and some handmade spiral flowers.
Have got visitors for dinner tonight and tomorrow I am heading off for the day to scrap with a girlfriend.  So will hopefully have some more to share before the end of the weekend.  Hope the Easter Bunny was kind to you all.  Enjoy the rest of the break and take care!

Camels down by the Sea!

Happy Sunday everyone,

Sorry to those people that have been checking my blog all week and there have been no updates.  I have had a busy week both professionally and personally so haven't really had a chance to scrap.  Yesterday I spent the day helping out a friend so never made it to my monthly crop.  This layout is of my brother and his family holidaying in Broome last year.  It has been on and off my desk for about two months.  It started as a double layout using a Scrapbook Generations sketch as I had a lot of photo's but as you can see that didn't work for me. Anyhow have finally just finished it so I can get it off my desk.
Have used a range of papers that have also been on and off my desk over the time.  October Afternoon Seaside diecut paper and stickers, Bella Blvd All Inclusive patterned papers, My Little Shoebox Sky's The Limit patterned paper, Kaisercraft Seaside tickets, Martha Stewart Punch, Gauze, Ink, American Crafts Thickers and Kaisercraft tiny Alpha's.

Have got some errands to run but hopefully I will get a chance later today to have a play with the gorgeous new Emma's Shoppe collection by Crate.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.  I am sure everyone is counting down to the Easter break like I am.  5 days off - yippee!!

The Weekend Again!

Hi All

Got a busy weekend so thought I would share a few things while I have got a chance.

Firstly, last night I was lucky enough to be invited to see Tina Arena perform with WASO at the Perth Concert Hall.  I have never really been into Tina's music but last night was absolutely amazing.  She sang a lot of cover songs and was brilliant.  I have been to many concerts over my time and would say that Tina's vocals last night were the best I have heard in concert.  Might have to check out her album "Songs of Love and Loss" today.
Next I have a layout to share.  I have had these photo's of Maddie ready to go to the football with Grandma for ages and finally scrapped them.  I always joke that I can't scrap them because I would get a rash from them being Dockers!  Have used Bazzill cardstock, Bo Bunny Peacock Lane patterned paper, Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety Patterned Paper, Teresa Collins Sports Edition paper, pleated ribbon, Paper Xtra foam alpha's, ink, bottlecap, MS frong punch and handmade flowers.
A while ago I won a prize at Handmade by Suzanne for one of my sketch layouts and yesterday I got my gorgeous prize from Little Red Rocket.  I can't wait to be able to use these cute little bits and pieces.  Just a reminder that they start selling at Little Red Rocket next week.  For a sneak peek on what they will have for sale head on over to their blog here.
Oh well had better sign off.  I need to do the grocery shopping and I have had my on eye on a beautiful pair of Mimco earrings at Garden City that I need to go and purchase.  Hope they are still there!  Heading off to the footy tonight so hopefully my boys can win 3 in a row.  Go the mighty Eagles!!!!!
If you have lasted until the end of this post you have done well.  Have a great weekend and hopefully I will have some layouts to share during the week.
