Weekend Scrap!

Saturday afternoon I went and scrapped with a girlfriend.  Half way through our crop the power went out and the humidity was unbelievable.  My girlfriend nearly expired but we soldiered on.  The weather was supposed to be dreadful but despite all the warnings that never eventuated.

This layout I did of Maddie on her 12th birthday.  I have used the My Minds Eye Fine and Dandy Tickled Pink range of Patterned Papers and embellishments, AC Thickers, DMC Thread, Rhinestones, Date stamp and Prima Flowers.

I did 2 other layouts but they didn't photograph very well so I need to redo them tomorrow when the sun is shining.  I should have done it yesterday but when I went into my scrapping room I decided to move things around and before I knew it I had stuff everywhere and the day was over.  I am trying to find a system to make everything easier to put my hands on.  As you all know things get buried and you forget what you've got.  Thanks for stopping by.

Until next time have a great week!

January Sketch - HBS

This is my take on the January 2011 sketch challenge at Handmade By Suzanne.  A bit late but better late than never!  These are photo's of my niece and nephew enjoying the pool (again!!) in Bali 2010.  I have used the Kaisercraft Seaside Collection of Patterned Papers and embellishments, Green Tara Flowers, Buttons, AC Thickers, Basic Mini Alpha's and Kaisercraft script stamp.

It looks like we are in for some wild weather here in Perth this weekend.  So maybe a good time to do some scrapping.  Have a good weekend!

Ice Cream Ice Cream we all want Ice Cream!

This is my take on the January 2011 sketch by Wendy Smith at Anna's Craft Cupboard.  Liam showing off his funky Mr Whippy Ice cream.  I have used up some old American Crafts Heat Wave Patterned Paper and Stickers, AC Thickers and Basic Grey Mini Alpha's.  My title is based on Pink's song.  TFL!
I am looking forward to Australia Day tomorrow and being able to wake up without the alarm clock.  Have fun on your day off and stay safe!

Holiday Fun.

This is a double layout of Gav and the kids at Waterbom park in Bali.  I have used Kaisercraft Offshore Collection Patterned Papers, AC Thickers, MME Breaking Free tickets, Flowers and my Sizzix Decorative Swirl die cut that I think looks like water.  I am pleased with myself for using up some of my stash of papers.

It has been a funny overcast day in Perth today threatening to rain but only got a few spots.  Back to work tomorrow so I hope you all have a good week!

A day of cropping!

Hi All,

A bit of a late start today thanks to my new "17 year old" neighbours who think that you party all night while the rest of the world are tyring to sleep and you sleep all day while everyone else is trying to function.  They finished up at 1.00am Friday and 4.30am last night.  And they've only been there 4 days - Aaagh!!!!!

Anyhow on to more pleasant things.  Yesterday my lovely sister and I went to the new year start of Northside Croppers and had a fun day out scrapping with our friends. I achieved these 3 layouts and my sister had a very productive day with 9 layouts completed.

I loved this photo of Mum and Dad and now they have been married for 45 years so I thought I would make that the theme of the page.    I've used Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 range of patterned papers, (which I love thanks to Tanya Tahir), Maya Road Doilie Transparency and Kraft Envelope, AC Thickers and I have made the flowers using my new Cuttlebug Flower Twilling kit (close up).
This is my beautiful Niece Maddie showing of her first ever sewing project.  She has done such a great job on her little skirt.  I have used the new October Afternoon Homemaker Patterned Papers and Stickers, Cosmo Cricket Material Girl cut outs, Dusty Attic Chip, Maya Road Chip sewing embellies, AC Thickers and MS punch.
And this is of my other gorgeous niece, Reannon and her kitten LC. I found this photo on my laptop after she had gone back to Adelaide and I thought it was such an adorable photo I couldn't resist scrapping it.  She loves that cat so much and from the look of the photo the love is mutual.  I have used the new Kaisercraft Class of '87 patterned papers, white flower and doilies, Prima Flower, MS punches, AC Thickers and OA mini alphas.  I made the Rose flower using a Sizzix die cut and the other flowers using my cuttlebug twilling kit.  A big thanks to my lovely friend Kathy for her help with the Rose and for loaning me some of her MANY MS punches.

Thank you also to those ladies who have become followers on my blog and have left comments for me.  Your work is an inspiration to me everyday so I am very excited that you have taken the time to comment on my layouts.  Your support is really appreciated.

That's all for now.  Hopefully I will get some more work done today (if I can keep my eyes open)!  Until next time enjoy the rest of the weekend and have a great week.

Just Add Water

Hi All,

This is a double layout I did last night of some old photo's from when Mum and Liz took the kids to Riverton Leisure Centre in January 2006.  OMG!!  They all look so small.  I have used the gorgeous Basic Grey Marjolaine Papers and Embellishments, Prima Flowers, AC Thickers and Adorn it Alphas, MS Butterfly punch, Rhinestones and some Ribbons.  For some reason my whites are not photographing very white.

Got a busy week so no more scrapping until Saturday when Northside Croppers starts again for the year - Yippee!!!

Have a good week!

Some Older Layouts!

Hi again, I have uploaded some older layouts so my family in South Australia can catch up on what we have been up to over here in the West.

These are of Mitch's 100 games of footy.  We all went to Waroona just East of Perth to watch him play.  Liz made the banner for him to run through.  He kicked the first goal of the game and a few more after that but sadly he started with an injury so didn't get to finish the game off.
Liz and Gavin took the kids to Bali a couple of times in the last 12 months.  They go over to Lembongan Island to stay as they love to surf.  This is the kids enjoying the hotel pool.  Love this photo of them!

They got back to Kuta in time to get a bit of retail therapy before heading home. This is Maddie showing off the results of her first shopping spree in Bali.  As you can see she has got the family shopping gene!!!

This is a double layout I did of the family having fun at Waterbom Park, Bali.

Love this photo of Maddie,  Again this is in the hotel pool at Lembongan Island.

Liam's first day of school.  Can't believe it was nearly 12 months ago!
Mitchell's school photo from Year 9.  He is such a lovely boy and got a really good school report at the end of this year.

Mum won a photo shoot voucher at a movie night we went to for Liam's school and so Kerrie took the boys and got these gorgeous photo's done.

Aagh the day she came to stay!  These are some photo's Reannon gave me of when she came over to Perth for a sea change and went down to visit Liz and the kids.  The sea change didn't last too long!

Lachlan earlier this year at Day Care.

Liam's 6th Birthday party in February 2010.  Nearly that time again.

Have included this double layout as it has most of you guys in it.  This is from Mum's 60th birthday but I only
got to scrap it a couple of months ago.

Another old photo that I scrapped earlier this year.  I scraplifted this idea from a lovely lady called Kim Arnold who does beautiful scrapbooking work.  I thought it was so perfect for these photo's.  I crocheted the big flower myself.   Last time Kerry was over we tried to nut out how to follow a crocheting pattern but I ended having to resort to 'You Tube' and I think I did OK!

This is the cubby house Brenton (with a little help from Unlce Andrew and Grandad) built the boys for Christmas last year.  He did a great job.  It has the sandpit underneath it.

Well I hope you have enjoyed my posts and that you keep checking for my updates.

Till next time.  Stay happy!

Little Miss Muffet

Found these cute photo's of Maddie the other night taken in November 1998.  I miss those cute girly baby photo's.  I have used some old Kaisercraft Childs Play Papers, Five Kids & a Dog Chipboard heading, flowers, brads, ribbon and micro alpha's.  In real life it is really crisp and white but unfortunately hasn't photographed that way.

Welcome to my Blog!

Have decided to start my own blog to share my photo's and scrapping pages with family and friends.  Thanks to all my lovely scrapping friends that have encouraged me to get this up and running.

I thought it was fitting that my first post would be of my 3 Nephews and my gorgeous Niece as they are my constant inspiration and subjects for scrapping.

This photo was taken on Christmas day at Mum and Dad's house.    I have used Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 Patterned Papers and Chipboard embellishments.  I have scraplifted the idea of the layout as I loved the use of the number being cut from paper as the title.  Thanks to those ladies for the inspiration!

Will be back later to post some more layouts.  Some layouts will be posted that have already appeared on galleries but my relatives in South Australia would not have yet seen them.

Thanks to all my great scrapping friends for your constant inspiration, sharing of knowledge and support!
