Holiday Pages

Hope you are all having a great weekend?

Well I have finally taken the plunge and started on some of my many many holiday snaps from the US.  I struggle to scrap these layouts as I try to include the memorabilia I have collected, which sometimes makes it difficult, anyhow I guess as long as they are scrapped that is the main thing.

This layout is of my train trip from Penn. Station in New York to Union Station, Washington DC.  Have used Basic Grey Wander range of patterned papers, AC Thickers, Dymo Labeler, ink and of course my ticket and receipt from the journey.
These photo's are from our Helicopter ride over New York City which was fantastic.  I wasn't going to take this trip as I was a little afraid about going in a chopper but so glad I did.  I have used Kaisercraft Up, Up and Away range of patterned papers, Kaisercraft Pack Your Bags embroided badges and brads, Teresa Collins Post Card inked and stamped and Basic Grey Alpha's.
And finally this is an edited version of my layout called Last Leg Home.  You may recall I wasn't happy with the journaling spot.  Suzanne reminded me I had a Kaisercraft stamp of a fancy frame so I have stamped that onto a piece of patterned paper cut it out and added my journaling.  I am much happier with it now.
I am so excited the footy is back, already watched a thriller today between Sydney and Melbourne and now just waiting for my team to come on at .  So that's all from me today, need to finish my chores before it starts!  Have a great week!

Through These Eyes!

Hi there,
Been able to squeeze in a post this morning before work of another layout to share.  Have got a physio appointment at 9.30am so late start today.  This layout is of my cute nephew Lachlan.  Have used Echo Park Little Boy range of patterned papers and stickers, October Afternoon mini alphas, Kaiser micro mini alpha's, Jillibean Soup journal spot, and handmade star buttons by "Bits and Pieces created by Marg".
Still can't work out what is happening with my photo's as the cardstock behind is actually white.  mmmm  (Update:  have had a bit of a play with my white balance and put a new photo up).   Anyhow, thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Australia Day Bake

Hi All
Hope you are having a good week!  This layout is of my niece helping out with some baking for their Australia Day Party.  Have used the October Afternoon Modern Homemaker range of papers and stickers, also OA Fly a Kite stickers, OA Mini Market Alpha stickers, AC Thickers, Bakers Twine and Bazzill cardstock.  Maddie is looking very patriotic with her temporary flag tattoos and her green and gold nail polish.
Had better go and get ready for work or I will be late.  Work has been a bit stressful lately, hence me coming home and heading to my scrap room for a bit of creative escape.  Some days it works and some days it doesn't.  Enjoy the rest of the week!

Happy Together

Hi Blog Followers,

Sadly I wasn't able to attend my monthly crop yesterday (despite being extremely organised) as my shoulders and neck have been causing me major problems this week and I have been seeing the physio so didn't think it was smart to sit and crop all day.  Over the week I have been creating this layout of Mum and Dad taken many years ago in Hedland.  I have used Distress Inked Kraft cardstock, Making Memories Patterned Paper stitched and inked.  Have cut some leaves and vines on my cricut machine.  The red flower is made by cutting out canvas with my Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers die cut and glimmermisting it with Candy Apple Red and sprinkling with Diamond Dust.  AC Thickers, Pink Paislee Queen Bee Journal spots, Prima Flower, Kaiser Doilie, bottle cap, Echo Park For the Record flower sticker and BG Life of the Party Mini Alpha's.
Been having a clean up today in my scrapping room and putting things in the correct place.  I was getting to the stage where the new stuff was just being left in the plastic sleeves.  All sorted now. May have a play later today.  I'm getting excited the footy starts again next week, I have missed it so much!  Mum and Dad arrive back from overseas this week.  Their trip has gone so quickly and I'm looking forward to seeing them. I hope you all have a great week and thanks for stopping by!  Happy Birthday Reannon!

It's all about Michael

Aww can't believe the weekend is over already!  Had a nice day with my girlfriend today chatting and finding out about all the things we'd like to have.  Oh and doing a bit of scrapping.  I am so lucky that scrapbooking has lead me to such a lovely friend.

My best mate Michael has his 50th birthday in March 2009 and these are some happy snaps from the night.  As you can see we all had fun!  Have used Bella Blvd Estate Sale patterned paper and stickers, can't remember who the lace die cut is from and Pink Paislee Chip Numbers.
We are so lucky that in the summer we spend so many glorious days on Michael's boat at Rotto. These photo's were snapped one weekend at Parker Point.  I couldn't have asked for two better best friends than Pipes and Jul's.  We've all had so much fun on this boat, mind you and some soar heads!  For this layout I have used Kaisercraft Old World patterned paper, Tim Holtz Compass mini mask, ink, AC Thickers, Twine, BG micro mini alpha's and Adorn it mini alphas.
Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!  Next weekend is Northside Croppers so will hopefully have a productive day (if I get organised).  So see you next weekend with some more to share until then have a great week.

School Farm Day

Hi there,

Had a busy day doing the shopping, washing and the chores but found time to come and finish off this layout.  These cute snaps are of Liam dressed up for School Farm Day at school and Lachlan got in for a photo.  Used October Afternoon Farm Fresh patterned papers and stickers, Hambly screenprints Chicken Coop, OA mini stickers, Scrapware corrugated alpha's, 2Crafty chip sheep painted and flossed, ink and machine stitching.
Got a friend coming for a scrap tomorrow so hopefully will have a productive day and some layouts to share.  My new cricut cartridge "Nate's ABC's" arrived on Friday so can't wait to have a play with that.  Should really be getting organised for NSC next weekend.  Can't believe how quickly the monthly crops come around.  Bye for now.

Just Us!

Hi there

This layout is of my Sister and my Niece in Adelaide.  I'm not usually lucky enough to scrap photo's of them but Mum bought some happy snaps back from her recent trip to Adelaide.  Hence why they have starred a bit lately.  Have used the balance of my Sassafras Lass Mix and Mend patterned papers, Sea Kiss, Sunflower, and Oriental Poppy glimmermisted kraft cardstock, lace, DMC thread, AC Thickers, twine, buttons and machine stitching.  You can't really tell in the photo but I have raised the cutout cluster on the LHS for a bit more texture.
I left it a bit late to photograph the layout so hasn't come out too well.   Great photo's guys - send more!
Can't believe it is half way through the week already, it's so great having a long weekend.  Lots and Lots of yummy new stuff coming in from CHA so quite motivated at the moment to try and use up some more of my stash. Until next time happy scrapping and thanks again to all my visitors and lovely comments.

Young Love

Sorry to post twice in one day but I got home earlier today than I thought so came in and had a play.  This is a photo of Mum and Dad many years ago.  I have again used Echo Park For the Record patterned papers and alpha stickers, Dusty Attic Chip frame, AC Thickers, Prima Flower, Pink Paislee Artisan Elements corner.  I have also made a tag with home made rosettes.  The idea is from the class I took last week with Sonia Thomason.
Hope you all have a great week.

Last Leg Home

Hi All,
We are enjoying a long weekend here in Perth and at last some great weather.  This layout is my take on the gorgeous sketch at Handmade By Suzanne this month by Michelle Fowler.  I am sure I will be using this sketch more than once.  My layout is based on some photo's taken by the air hostess on our flight from Sydney to Perth  when Michael, Julie and I were heading home from our trip to the US and Canada, we had been travelling for 36 hours and were so over being on a plane.  I have used Bo Bunny Back to Backs patterned Paper, Maya Road envelope and Doilie Transparency, AC Thickers, Mesh, Ink, Glimmermist, stitching and  I have included my boarding passes from each leg of the trip in the envelope.  Not happy with my journalling spot but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for so may change it if I do.
Don't you just love this sketch!

Have just found some old photo's of Mum and Dad's 21st birthday parties so can't wait to scrap them.  Thanks for stopping by.  Hopefully will have some more to share soon.
